Voghiera garlic has a mild flavor and aroma and is characterized by its white color. Voghiera is a town in the province of Ferrara, which is northeast of Bologna. In 2007 Voghiera Garlic earned the European designation PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) which ensures the garlic is produced only in the designated areas of Voghiera.
